The Fellowship of the Soil Declaration

We hold these truths to be self-evident:

That the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.

That mankind was created not to exploit creation, but to steward it faithfully.

That the soil is not a commodity to be exhausted, but a sacred inheritance entrusted to every generation.

That when any system of power places profit above people, dominion above stewardship, or control above truth, it has departed from the order established by our Creator.

For too long we have surrendered our responsibility to institutions, corporations, and authorities that have promised abundance while leaving behind poisoned soil, polluted water, failing health, broken families, and dependent communities.

We confess that we, too, have often participated in these systems through ignorance, convenience, fear, or compromise.

Today, we choose another way.

We choose repentance over pride.

We choose stewardship over exploitation.

We choose truth over propaganda.

We choose liberty over dependence.

We choose responsibility over convenience.

We choose life over toxicity.

We declare our intention to withdraw our participation from practices that knowingly poison God’s creation and His people.

We will begin with the ground beneath our own feet.

We will seek to restore the health of our soil, the integrity of our food, the strength of our families, and the freedom of our communities.

We acknowledge that this work cannot be accomplished by governments, corporations, or institutions alone.

It begins with each of us.

It begins with repentance.

It begins with returning to the Ancient of Days by the ancient of ways.

With humility before Almighty God, and trusting in His wisdom rather than our own, we hereby declare our commitment to walk this path together.

We join the Fellowship of the Soil.

May future generations inherit a land that is healthier because we chose to return.
